END HUNGER, ACHIEVE FOOD SECURITY AND IMPROVED NUTRITION AND PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

Geneva has active hunger, nutrition and agriculture communities that explore both the production and consumption sides of food in order to improve the food systems and diets of the future.

INITIATIVES:

The Impact Hub Geneva’s Sustainable Living Lab is tackling the food waste challenge through an ongoing “social lab” that brings together multistakeholder participants to address the issue using user centric design.

The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) uses satellite imagery combined with on-the-ground expertise to produce monthly crop monitors for the Agricultural Market Information System.

LINKAGES:

The food we produce and consume (SDG 2) has impacts on both the health of people (SDG 3) and on our planet’s terrestrial and marine ecosystems (SDG 14, 15) and climate (SDG 13).
