Location: Think Tank Hub at WMO - 7bis Avenue de la Paix (2nd floor)
On Wednesday 20th September, 10 am to 4.00 pm, there will be a high level Wilton Park/Chatham House style discussion on the gap between current realities and the global goals and targets described in relation to SDG 2: “to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture”, feeding into preparations for World Food Day on October 16th and other processes.
On Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd September, 9.30 to 4.30 pm internationally recognised futurist, Sohail Inayatullah, will lead a Strategic Foresight Workshop, introducing and facilitating application of futures tools and techniques to our consideration of the current and potential contributions of Local Food Systems and Global Supply Chains. More importantly, the workshop is designed to identify or envision shifts in policy and practice that offer viable and “invest-able” business models to take action to scale. Participation in the Workshop is by invitation, to optimise engagement and outcomes.
