The UNECE Strategy for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) helps countries to enshrine sustainability into formal, non-formal and informal education, moving from policy to practice.
The University of Geneva has partnered with the Tsinghua University in China to create an innovative Masters program focused on the SDGs. Through the program, students spend equal time in Geneva and China and work on real world sustainable development challenges.
Education (SDG 4) is a foundational building block for achieving many of the other SDGs. Education enables decent work (SDG 8), promotes gender equality (SDG 5) and reduces inequality (SDG 10) when it is delivered in an equitable manner
